Wow! I, the lowly walker, find the runners inspirational. But I am 64 so I guess the 5K walk is not too bad. I did it this morning at 7:15a.m and plan on repeating a couple more times.( I might even walk back from the CNE when I pick up my pack on the 25th.) That route will be much quieter than my usual one on very busy and noisy streets. This morning there seemed to be tons of buses and trucks! The chocolate pudding gels sound great but I guess I will stick to my morning breakfast treat: scrambled eggs, whole wheat toast and salad. Since someone else makes it, it is really a treat because usually I make oatmeal!
Go Jackie! Go Team Mount Sinai Foundation!!
The weather is supposed to be good at the moment but this could change......

They're called Shot Bloks and they're electrolyte chews. They come in a variety of flavours - I like the cranberry-raspberry myself.

I have never heard of the little gel things. What are they? I am obviously an inexperienced walker but I have great New Balance runners so I am good to go!!!!!! They were recommended by my chiropodist and they are super.
